Terms of Service.
The terms governing enrollment in Recovery Momentum Academy and its certification.
Draft · not yet effective · Last updated [effective date]
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms govern your enrollment in Recovery Momentum Academy and your use of its website, offered by [legal entity name] ("Recovery Momentum Academy", "we", "us"). By enrolling, booking a call, or using this site, you agree to these terms. If you are enrolling on behalf of an organization or sponsoring an enrollment, you confirm that you are authorized to do so. If you do not agree, please do not enroll or use the site.
2. Enrollment & certification
Enrolling reserves your place in a certification cohort. Enrollment grants you access, for your cohort's term, to the curriculum, the live cohort calls, and the final assessment — training in the Recovery Momentum Index™, the 8-domain, 0–32 whole-person recovery framework (including the eighth domain, Contribution & Service, and the scoring guidance you train on). On successful completion of the assessment, we issue you the Recovery Momentum Academy's own certificate of completion.
Please read this honestly: our certification is not accreditation. The program is not ICF-accredited, is not IAPRC-recognized, and is not an "Independently Certified" credential. It is our own certificate, describing the curriculum hours you completed. If formal accreditation is secured in future, we will state it precisely and only then. We do not guarantee any particular professional outcome, license, or employment result from completing the program.
3. Payment
Enrollment fees are confirmed with you before you enroll; the figure shown on the site is a starting point pending confirmation, and we do not invoice an amount you have not agreed. Any payment-plan options are arranged on your call and set out in your enrollment confirmation. Unless your confirmation states otherwise, fees are payable by the date stated on the invoice and are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which are your responsibility. Late or non-payment may affect your place in a cohort as described in your confirmation.
4. Refunds & cancellation
This section is the Academy's enrollment refund and cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your enrollment, whether you receive a refund depends on the timing of your cancellation relative to your cohort's start. The standard refund and cancellation window is [enrollment refund / cancellation window].
Cancellations made before that window begins are refunded as described there. Once a cohort has started, a refund may no longer apply — but where it does not, your access to the curriculum and the live cohort calls may continue for the remainder of the cohort's term, so you can still complete the training you enrolled in. If we cancel or reschedule a cohort, you may transfer to a later cohort or receive a refund of fees paid for that cohort.
5. Intellectual property
"Recovery Momentum Index", "RMI", the eight-domain framework, the scoring guidance, the domain definitions, and all course and curriculum materials are the property of Recovery Momentum Academy and its licensors. "Recovery Momentum Index™" is a trademark, and the RMI™ name and marks may not be used without our permission except as these terms allow.
Enrollment grants you a personal, non-transferable right to use the course and curriculum materials for your own learning during and after the program — it does not transfer ownership of the framework, the marks, or any intellectual property to you. You may not copy, share, redistribute, resell, or publish the course materials, the scoring guidance, or the framework, and you may not create a competing or derivative training or measurement framework from them, without our written permission.
6. Acceptable use
These acceptable use rules govern how you may use the site, the course materials, and the framework. You agree to use all three lawfully, honestly, and only as permitted by these terms. In particular, you agree not to:
- copy, share, redistribute, or resell the course or curriculum materials, except as these terms expressly permit;
- present RMI™ scores as a medical diagnosis or as a substitute for clinical judgement — the RMI is a coaching and measurement framework, not a diagnostic tool or medical device;
- misrepresent your certification status — for example, by claiming accreditation, recognition, or a credential the program does not hold, or by describing the certificate as more than the curriculum hours you completed;
- misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its underlying systems; or
- use the site, the materials, or the framework in any way that breaks applicable law or infringes the rights of others.
7. Disclaimers & liability
The program, the site, and the materials are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind except those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and the training is intended to support, not replace, your own professional or clinical judgement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recovery Momentum Academy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of or relating to your enrollment is limited to the enrollment fees you paid.
8. Changes & contact
We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued enrollment or use after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction]. Questions about these terms can be sent to [contact address]. For how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
